I love reading - honestly if I had to say my #1 recommendation for entrepreneurs, it would be to read & learn from other entrepreneurs.


What does mindset have to do with it?

Having an open, abundant mindset is incredibly important for success. If instead, you have a limited, negative mindset, you only end up seeing what will go wrong. By the law of attraction, what you worry about & focus on manifests. Therefore, why not focus on positive outcomes??



1. The Secret by Rhonda Bryne

This book is absolutely a bit “woo woo” - but in essence it’s an excellent read.


It’s about the “Law of Attraction” which essentially says

What you focus on you create more of

or, said another way

What you focus on, you manifest

What does this mean in practice?

Write down your goals every day. When you do this, you’ll figure out what you really want.

What about difficult situations, or situations where you’d rather say “No thanks, I pass!” ?

Find a solution, act on the solution, and then move on! Focus on happy things.


2. How to Stop Worrying and Start Living by Dale Carnegie

I love this book for so many reasons! Probably because I’m a big worrier and I’d like not to be :)

It really puts into perspective what is a big deal, and what isn’t. In the end, here is what it says:

  • Think about what’s the worst-case scenario

  • Come up with a plan to minimize that worst case scenario

  • MOVE ON!

Worrying is a habit - and it’s a habit you can BREAK!

3. You Are a Badass by Jen Sincero

This book gives a really awesome overview of our minds, and what we do & think the things we do and think.

She’s also HILARIOUS and very open about her history.



4. Chillpreneur

Denise is awesome, very down to earth.

She talks about how we need to focus our time & energy on what we do best in our business, and outsource the other menial tasks.

She is absolutely one of my favorite entrepreneurial icons!
